Welcome to Designkind! We were started by Melissa Hendrickson, an industrial designer with a deep love for furniture and home accessories.

This project began in 2024, driven by a desire to create unique gifts that inspire creativity and connection. Frustrated by the lack of distinctive options for her friends and kids, Melissa decided to design her own model making kits.

At Designkind, we strive for a creation over consumption lifestyle. Our innovative model kits, like the Path chair and Silo lamp, are designed to empower you to unleash your creativity while making something stylish and personalized.

Each kit provides beginner-friendly instructions with a video tutorial, along with all the necessary pieces to paint, build and enjoy a custom version of the project you chose! We love seeing bright models displayed in rooms and offices bringing a dose of fun and personality to spaces.
